Gift Card Program

Supermarkets, Movies, Books, Gasoline, Department Stores, Cruises, AND MORE!
Janet Breskman, Gift Card Coordinator

TBA, a non-profit organization, has participated in a terrific fundraising program from Great Lakes Scrip Center for the last 1½ years.  Great Lakes offers an enormous selection of gift cards and sells them at discount to non-profits, who, in turn, sell them to their supporters.  Our supporters (you!) purchase the gift cards from TBA at face value and use them instead of cash or credit cards when you shop, or you can give them as gifts—to children, parents, teachers, mail carriers, etc.

ShopWithScrip.com (SWS) is the new fully-automated order-management tool of Great Lakes Scrip Center.  You can browse the extensive list of retailers offered at either glscrip.com or ShopWithScrip.com.  If you have access to ANY computer, you can log on to ShopWithScrip.com, register yourself (using your e-mail address and a password), and enter TBA’s enrollment code LL55912B9531 (case sensitive) to be included in our group orders.  Cut and paste it to be sure to get it right!

You cannot place a scrip order through SWS unless you have registered yourself as being associated with TBA’s group.  (If you don’t have access to a computer, call Janet at 610-337-2175.)  No financial or credit card information is entered in the registration.  As a registered user, you can place your personal orders from any Internet-connected computer as long as you know your password.

You can also review your previous orders and get detailed information about SEVEN HUNDRED OR SO participating retailers—locations, terms of gift card use, restaurant menus, etc.!  You can play with your order, going back to it again and again if you want, until you are satisfied that it is complete and accurate.  When you finally click “Finish Order”, it will be submitted automatically to Janet, and you will receive a confirming message from SWS with an order number for your reference.  Your order will remain “in limbo” until Janet has received your payment, at which time she will combine it—automatically—with all other paid orders and then transmit them all to Great Lakes Scrip Center at 8:00 a.m. on the first Monday of every month.  Orders typically arrive on Thursday or Friday of that week.  The beauty of this system is that you can prepare your order at your leisure and not feel rushed as an ordering deadline approaches.  When you think of something you want, just log on and add it to your shopping cart at SWS.

All payment must be made by check (see note), payable to Temple Brith Achim, and handed or mailed to Janet at 315 Covered Bridge Road, King of Prussia, PA 19406-1769.  DO NOT LEAVE ANY CHECKS FOR JANET AT THE SYNAGOGUE—EVER!!!!  Your order will be transmitted to SWS/Great Lakes Scrip Center only after Janet has received your check, so be sure to mail it in timely fashion.

How to Register

Here’s what you do (IT’S SO SIMPLE, A CAVEMAN CAN DO IT!):

2. Go to Members Log-In   (Orange box on right side of screen)
2a. Click on “Not a Member? - Click here”
2b.  Register in “Family Registration.”
2c. Review and accept their Terms.  After you have accepted, you’ll be taken to the “Join a Non-Profit” page.  Enter TBA’s

2d. Click “Home” to return to the home page and start having fun!

3. Click on the “My Account” tab to access the Account Dashboard, through which you will manage your account, including
accessing your last five orders and reading announcements—new retailers, special bonus discounts, etc.

4. Click on the “Get Started” tab.  The “User Guide” tab on the left opens a very complete, very clear
manual. Don’t be put off by its 21 pages—it’s full of big pictures!

5. To order, click on “Order Scrip” at the top of any page, and you’re on your way.

NOTE:      Sorry, but we can’t afford the credit card fees for this project; they exceed our profits for some of the retailers.  Nor can we wait for the funds to be sent by Visa or MasterCard to TBA and then to Sisterhood and then into Sisterhood’s bank account, from which the funds were removed the moment the order was placed!
