HIGH HOLY DAYS INFORMATION

5771/2010

High Holy Day Admission Cards are required to attend Adult High Holy Day Services. As a TBA member, you are entitled to Cards of Admission to High Holy Day Services. Admission Cards are not required for Family Services. College students may gain entrance to services by showing their college "ID."

Admission Cards for High Holy Day services will be issued only to those families who have made their Annual Membership Commitment to the Temple.

High Holy Day Guest Cards for your immediate family may be ordered on your High Holy Day Admission Card Request Form or the web form below. The donation for immediate family members is $45.00 per person.

Additional High Holy Day Guest Cards for non-immediate family may be purchased from the Temple Office or ordered on the web form below. The donation for non-family members is $225.00 per person.

Courtesy Request Forms are available should you plan to be in another community for the High Holy Days. Notify the Temple Office if you plan to attend services at another Reform congregation and a Courtesy Request Form will be sent to that synagogue for you.

Children’s Programs will be held concurrently with Adult Services in the Powell Center for Life Long Jewish Learning classrooms. Signs will be posted to direct you to your child’s classroom. Babysitting will be provided for children ages 2-4 at the cost of $18 per child per day. Children in kindergarten through 2nd grade may participate in a session of crafts, stories, games and learning. Junior Congregation Services will be conducted for students in grades 3-6. Enter babysitting contribution on the web form below.

Children’s Services are geared toward young children (approximately pre-school through 2nd grade) and enable children to worship in the Sanctuary with their families. These services are held on the afternoons of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur from 12:45 to 1:30 PM. Admission Cards are not required; the community is welcome.

Yizkor Services are held on Yom Kippur day at approximately 5:00 PM.

Memorial Plaques are affixed to the Sanctuary’s Memorial Boards and honor the memory of loved ones by providing a permanent, tangible reminder or their lives. During the week of an individual’s Yahrzeit, the plaque is moved to the lighted, center Board. Memorial Plaques are available for $400 and can be requested through the Temple Office or directly through the TBA website.

The Yizkor Book will be published for distribution on Yom Kippur. During the High Holy Day season, it is fitting to acknowledge our debt to those who came before us and to remember them with fondness. To have your loved ones included in this year’s Yizkor Book, please complete the enclosed Yizkor Book Form and return it to the Temple Office by August 15th. Enter contribution on the web form, below.

High Holy Day Food Drive will once again be sponsored by our Senior Youth Group, BRATY. Empty grocery bags will be distributed at Rosh Hashanah. Please bring your non-perishable food contributions with you on Yom Kippur.
