Directed Giving ("sunshine")
Temple Brith Achim's Sunshine Committee provides opportunities to acknowledge life cycle events, such as births, deaths, illnesses and mitzvot, by making contributions to the following temple funds.
Any Nesters Fund (goes to Any Nesters activities and programs)
BRATY (goes to the high school level youth group for activities and programs)
Caring Community Fund (goes to costs of shiva baskets, trays, flowers, etc)
Choir Fund (goes to choir activities, supplies and equipment)
Communication & Marketing Fund (goes to communication needs beyond the operational budget, especially marketing)
Facilities Fund (goes to upkeep and upgrades of TBA, beyond the operational budget)
General Operating Fund (goes to the operational expenses of TBA)
Library/TBA Cafe Fund (goes to library and cafe maintenance)
Lifelong Jewish Learning Fund (goes to LLJL programs and activities not covered by tuition and other sources. For example, can be used for Adult Ed activities)
Marilyn Sameroff Youth Scholarship Fund (goes to students who need scholarships to go to Camp Harlem, Gratz, and NFTY events and trips)
Men's Club (goes to Men's Club activities and programs)
Outreach Fund (goes to Outreach activities and programs)
Prayerbook Fund ($25 Minimum - goes to new prayer books)
Rabbi's Discretionary Fund (goes to Rabbi directed disbursements)
Ritual Fund (goes to Worship materials, food, and other items not covered in the prayerbook or oneg funds)
School Scholarship Fund (goes to student tuition scholarships)
Social Action Fund (goes to Social Action activities and programs)
Technology Fund (goes to upkeep and upgrades of TBA technology, beyond the operational budget)
Women of Reform Judaism (goes to Sisterhood activities and programs)
Youth Programming Fund (goes to the 3rd - 8th grade youth groups' activities and programs)
