Caring Community Mission

The Caring Community helps to foster a warm, connected, and caring family environment at TBA. By communicating congregational needs, calling, and visiting members in case of illness or bereavement, providing meals, arranging transportation, and providing service opportunities for the entire congregation, Caring Community provides tangible and intangible support to all TBA members.

All TBA members are welcome to join this committee and participate as their schedules and interests allow.

Thanks to the members of Caring Community and others in the congregation who have made or delivered soup, baked, cooked, coordinated dinners, sent cards, visited a house of mourning during shiva, made calls to congregants who were ill. These are some of the many activities that are constantly happening behind the scenes to strengthen the bonds of our community.

If you would like to be part of the growing group of TBA members who reach out to help our Temple members when needs arise, we need you. Whether you can help once a month or once a year, your contributions of time and talent are needed and greatly appreciated! Contact the Temple office for more information.

Food Donation Opportunity:  If you are able to prepare meals at home, or if you have a function at the Temple and have quality leftovers, please consider donating them to Caring Community. They will be delivered to congregants in case of illness, hospitalization, bereavement, and other similar circumstances. Simply use the Food Saver machine that's on the counter and label your packages for Caring Community (please note if they contain dairy, meat, or nuts to help congregants with food allergies or other dietary restrictions) and place them in the Temple freezer.

If you know someone who is in need of meals, please let the office or Ann know.

Your kindness continues to provide warm support to our congregational family in times of need. Thank you for making this program possible
