Volunteer Opportunities

Helping Out in Your TBA Community

TBA serves the needs of our community in part because of the many volunteers who give their time. But we always need more help. There are many ways you can help your TBA community, even if you only have a couple of hours. Here are just a few.

Elected Leadership and Committee Members

Serving TBA as a board member or Management Team Leader is a very rewarding experience and a great way to serve your community. Every spring, a Nominating Committee is formed to search for candidates to fill various open board positions. There are also many opportunities to be a member of the many committees that support these leadership positions. Take a moment to look at the various board positions offered at Temple Brith Achim. You will find a list of your current leaders in your newsletter, directory and on our website. If you have a specific interest in any of the positions or the committees that support those positions, please contact the President (tbapresident@brithachim.org) or the Head of Management (tbamanagement@brithachim.org). Together we can make TBA a better place for everyone!

Help repair the world through Social Action!

Temple Brith Achim is dedicated towards performing Tikkum Olam, acts of kindness to repair the world. We organized and participate in activities related to social justice, hunger, environment, and helping others in our community.

  • Kids Again Hunger
  • Fortnighters Dinner
  • Red Cross Blood Drive
  • Clothing Drives
  • Food Drives

If you are interested in participating in Social Action events or getting involved in the Social Action committee, please contact Cathy Koffs.

Get involved in Temple Brith Achim’s Caring Community!

Our congregation’s members help each other by supporting each other in times of need. Below are some examples of how the Caring Community helps:

  • Rides to congregation events
  • Support to members in mourning (shiva)
  • Participate in a minyon
  • Calling members during illness
  • Write cards

If you are interested in getting involved in the Caring Community, please contact Joshua Saragovi and Adrienne Kerbel.
