Josh Saragovi, Head of Management
Head of Management's Welcome
Welcome to Temple Brith Achim!
We have a unique governance structure dividing the work needed to run a synagogue into two equal parts, the Board of Trustees, overseen by our President Cheryl Carmel and the Management Team, overseen by the Head of Management Joshua Saragovi.
These entities work in tandem to ensure smooth operations for our vibrant congregation and community.
The Management Team is made up of four “Houses”. Each House has a set of responsibilities to perform through committees and service teams.
The House of Worship, led by Lori Reichner Kareen Hartwig ensures meaningful Shabbat experiences, spiritual holiday services and events, and religious programming to include tots through octogenarians.
The House of Lifelong Jewish Learning, led by Kareen Hartwig, in conjunction with our Director of Lifelong Jewish Learning to create Jewish learning programs for congregants of all ages.
The House of Community, led by Laura Serinsky creates social activities to attract and maintain our congregational members, coordinates Social Action programs, and organizes our very important Caring Community.
The House of Administration, is responsible for the business aspect of our temple. From building maintenance, paying bills, and collecting funds to ensuring our technology and audio visual are all in working order.
My position as Head of Management is to oversee and provide support to this wonderful team of House Leaders and all the volunteers that are engaged in the committees and service teams. I am also responsible for providing oversight for our professional staff.
Feel free to reach out to me with questions, answers, suggestions and to volunteer for any activity at our temple home at tbamanagement@brithachim.org.
Joshua Saragovi brings years of leadership experience and deep involvement in the Jewish community. Prior to his current role, Josh served as Head of the House of Community, led the Membership Team, was Head of the House of Life Long Jewish Learning, and served on the Board of Trustees. His dedication to Jewish education and youth engagement also includes 10+ years teaching religious school, serving as President of Hillel at Penn State during college, and President of NFTY-PAR during high school.
Professionally, Josh is a marketing leader in the pharmaceutical industry. He holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from Penn State, and earned his Masters in Business Administration from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland.
Josh and his wife Norma have been proud members of TBA since 2013. They live in Malvern with their two daughters, Alexandra and Veronica—both of whom celebrated their B'not Mitzvah at TBA—and their dog Henry. In his free time, Josh enjoys skiing, running, singing, and dancing (though not all at the same time).
I am honored to be a TBA congregant and the Head of TBA Management.
